A man was fatally shot late Nov. 26 on South 320th Street in Federal Way.
According to Federal Way Police Department Cmdr. Bryan Klingele, at about 10:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 1900 block of South 320th Street. Klingele said that an officer was nearby and located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot.
Klingele said that an officer initiated a short vehicle pursuit with the suspect vehicle while other officers located the alleged victim nearby. Klingele stated that the alleged victim was a 26-year-old man whose last known address was in Fall City.
“The pursuing officer was able to detain two suspects while officers attended to the victim,” Klingele stated. “Officers began lifesaving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries.”
Klingele stated that one of the suspects, a 20-year-old, was booked in King County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder, and the King County Prosecutor’s Office will have the ultimate charging decision in the case. Klingele said that the second subject was interviewed and later released.
According to the King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention jail lookup portal, the suspect is currently held on $2 million bail. His charge status is listed as in the investigation stage.
