Colen James Pierson
On May 23, 2010 Colen James Pierson (05-19-1961), former Renton resident and 1979 graduate of Kentridge High School accidentally drowned while fishing at West Magic Reservoir, Shoshone, Idaho.A celebration of life was held at West Magic Resort on Monday, May 31, 2010. A memorial was held on Tuesday, June 1 at Wood River Chapel, Hailey, Idaho.Colen loved first and foremost his family and friends. He died doing what he loved next, fishing. Colen is survived by his son, Jimmy Pierson, St. George, UT; daughter Elaina (Aaron) Westegaard, St. George, UT; daughter Allysa Morgan, Yakima, WA; mother Patricia (Moore) Stigen, Kent, WA; father Arlen James and stepmother Norma Pierson, Pocatello, ID; sister Gay (Terry) Boyer, Kent, WA; sister Arlena Pierson, Kent, WA; sister Carrie (Warren) Williams, Yelm, WA; stepbrother Rodney Houck, Seattle, WA; stepbrother Vernell (Debbie) Stigen, Maple Valley, WA; stepsister Rebecca Stigen, Shevlin, MN; one uncle, two aunts, 10 nieces, 1 nephew, 6 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, 5 cousins, and many, many friends. Tony & Karen DePiano invite those who knew Colen to a celebration of life at Pat’s Bar & Grill, 114 Railroad Avenue, Kent, WA on Saturday, June 12 from 1 PM to 6 PM.Donations may be sent to any wildlife preservation organization.
