October 7, 1935 – April 21, 2025
Doris Audrey Stansell (Albrecht), age 89, went home to be with the Lord on April 21,2025 in Kent, WA. Born October 7, 1935, in Temvik, North Dakota, to William and Emelia Albrecht, Doris’s life was a testament to the enduring power of her love of family and unwavering dedication.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack, brothers Bill and Larry, sister, Della and her grandson, Jack, and great-granddaughter, Kalea.
Doris leaves behind a legacy of love and chershed memories. She is survived by her seven children: Debbie Pozzi ( Tom), Terri Reavis (Brad), Kellie Molzhon (Jim), Jackie Holden (Joe), Becky Brennan (Chris), Cathy Stansell, and Dan Stansell. She is also survived by her twenty grandchildren and twenty- four great-grandchildren and her brother-in-law, Lamar Stansell, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She was known for her kindness, quick humor, boundless hospitality and ensuring every visitor felt welcomed and well-fed, often with a slice of her famous banana bread and a pot of coffee around the kitchen table.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in her name to Seattle Children’s Hospital honoring her Great-Grandson Angus (Gus) Olson who she said countless prayers for and is living a healthy wonderful life. (You will be able to notate both her name and Angus Olson).
