Joan “Joann” Martha Ellis

Joann passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Puyallup with family close by her side.

The daughter of George and Martha Ellenburger, Joann was born in Odessa, WA on September 27, 1936 and grew up in Pasco.

She lived in Riverside, CA for awhile, married & had 3 of her 5 children, then moved back to Pasco, WA to have her 4th child. Joann then married Lawrence Ellis on August 3, 1962, and soon after had her last child. They all moved to Kent, WA where her children grew up, while Joann helped out in school, PTA, and many churches. Later, she helped raise her 1st granddaughter.

Throughout the years, Joann had become quite talented in many crafts, selling them or giving them to family and friends.

Joann is preceded in death by her parents, her youngest brother, James; her youngest son, Jim; her nephew, Kory and her hustand of 34 years, Lawrence. She is survivied by her brother, Robert; her daughters, Theresa, Barbara & Cathy; her son, Bob; her sister-in-law, Karen; 12 grandchildren and 13+ great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Joann, you will be greatly missed.
