Joe Schneider of Kent, WA died Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Born in 1927 Berlin, Germany the youngest son of Willi and Marjorie Schneider. Survived by his sons Joe (Jolene) and Paul (Jamie) and Paul’s children and grandchildren.
Joe taught high school social studies and world history in Illinois and mentored fellow teachers as chairman of his department and through involvement in professional organizations.
After retiring Joe and Carol moved to Renton to be with their children and grandchildren. Active members of St. James church they kept busy with friends and family. After Carol’s death (cancer) in 2002 Joe stayed active with St. James and in 2007 found a second partner in Marie White. After many happy years Marie suffered a stroke and they moved to Farrington Court. Marie passed in 2016. Joe stayed at Farrington Court where he later found a soulmate and close friend in Juliette Frank.
A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal church in Kent, WA on Friday July 26, 2019 at 11 am.
