LESLEY REBECA PARROTT

On the evening of October 14, 2017, Lesley Rebeca Parrott passed away surrounded by family. She was born January 9, 1989, in Kent, WA to Craig and Anna (Wright) Parrott.

At just seven months old, Lesley was diagnosed with leukemia. Even as an infant, she demonstrated quiet strength and determination, surviving successful treatments and a bone marrow transplant. As a little girl, she liked dance classes and cultivated a lifelong love for reading. Family and friends were an important part of her life.

Lesley graduated from Kentwood High School, Highline College, and Bellevue College, where she worked as a tutor in the writing center.

Lesley touched so many lives and was an inspiration to those who knew her. She loved life and people in a pure and beautiful way, and found infinite ways to demonstrate how incredibly thoughtful, caring, encouraging, and compassionate she was.

In October 2016, Lesley was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in her heart. Through the past year, Lesley braved her illness and pain with grace and courage. Her passion, spark, and determination stayed with her even at the end of her life, as she married the love of her life, Ian Delo, in the critical care unit at Valley Medical Center just days before she passed.

Her family is thankful that Lesley is no longer suffering and takes comfort in the fact that she has gone to heaven to be with her Lord and savior. Lesley is survived by: husband Ian Delo and his family; parents Craig and Anna, sister and brother-in-law Allison and Daniel Thompson, niece Vera Thompson; Grandmother Ruth Parrott, Aunt Karen Wick, cousins Martin and Brian Wick, “Aunt” Lorraine Morton; Uncles Jerry and Joel Wright, Aunt Sharon Lohmann and cousin Michelle Bennett.

Lesley was preceded in death by: her brother Stuart, Uncles Jeff Wright and Dean Wick, Grandparents Ralph and Marless Wright, and Bert Parrott.
