Kent Reporter Female Athlete of the Week: Simran Samra

Samra has been one of the most outstanding performers on the tennis team.

The Kent Reporter’s female athlete of the week for the week of April 5 is Kentridge High School freshman Simran Samra, girls tennis.

Describe your pre-game ritual:

I first start warming up my arm wings and serves, while keeping my form in mind and calming down my brain. A take a few deep breaths before starting my matches, trying to play to win each point, rather than the game. This is what helps me to succeed while playing tennis.

Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

I don’t listen to music.

From the sidelines: Simran has been an outstanding performer this season and has been extremely successful, especially for a freshman. She is a great teammate and is always positive.
