The Kent/Steel Lake Little League 9-10 girls fastpitch team defeated Bonney Lake/Sumner 12-2 to capture the District 10 All-Star championship tournament at the Federal Way Complex on Friday.

Kent/Steel Lake, 21-0, advances to the Little League state tournament in Chehalis on July 16.

Charlie Glenn is the manager and Josh Hernandez and Dan Wright are the coaches.

The Kent Little League girls went 18-0 during the regular season. They picked up three girls from the Steel Lake area for the All-Star run and went 3-0 in the district All-Star tournament.

Sarah Wright has provided solid pitching, with the support of the team’s timely base hitting and aggressive base running from a deep lineup.
