DRIVE ALERT: SR 167 opens after car fire

Two northbound lanes of State Route 167 were blocked for about a half hour late Tuesday morning, due to a car fire on the route in the vicinity of Kent.

Traffic was snarled for four miles, in the wake of the mishap.

The road was clear as of 12:40 p.m.

Washington State Patrol responded to the accident, along with local fire personnel.
