Man injured in Kent forklift accident

A forklift driver was injured after being trapped by a part of the forklift during an accident at about 4:10 a.m. Friday at a FedEx warehouse in the 19600 block of 84th Avenue South in north Kent.
Co-workers quickly were able to free the man from the forklift, according to a Kent Fire Department media release. Paramedics treated and stabilized the man, whose injuries were not disclosed.
Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.
Kent Fire Department, Renton Fire Department and King County Medic One responded to the accident.
Fire officials could not disclose the name and age of the man because of federal health information privacy laws.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by FedEx.
