Learn how to paint with watercolor from Kent artist

Painters who want to learn or find out more about watercolor can learn from Kent artist Cheryl Renee Long during a five-week session that starts in mid-January at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center, 23220 Maple Valley Highway S.E.

The Fabulous Flowing Watercolor classes are for painters ages 16 and older. The Watercolor Fundamentals class starts Jan. 15 and goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Watercolor Intermediate class begins Jan. 18 and runs from 6-9 p.m. The cost is $140 for each of the five-week sessions.

Students will learn how to create flowing effects and delicious colors in a fun, relaxed and non-intimidating atmosphere, Long said.
