Kent Farmers Market opens the season with food, fruit, vegetables and sunny skies | Slide Show

The Kent Farmers Market kicked off the season Saturday at Town Square Plaza Park on Second Avenue between West Smith Street and West Harrison Street.

The folks going to the market enjoyed sunny skies and warm temperatures. The first of the season.

The market showcased vegetables, fruits, flowers, plenty of food and crafts and live music.

The market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday through Sept. 24.
