Kent offers new youth basketball league for first, second graders

The city of Kent is offering a new recreational coed basketball league for boys and girls in the first and second grades.

Boys and girls will be placed on a team in their own grade level. The program runs for eight weeks and starts Jan. 14 at local gyms. Practices are on the first two Saturdays with games on the remaining six Saturdays.

The cost is $45 per player. Deadline for registration is Dec. 12. To register, go to www.kentwa.gov/sportsleagues/youthbasketball.
