The city of Kent will host a free training workshop on the city’s business and occupation tax (B&O) from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, March 20, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S.

City auditor Robert Goehring said the workshop is designed to help businesses understand the city’s B&O tax reporting responsibilities.

“Participants will learn about B&O tax reporting classifications, exemptions, deductions, gross receipts and square footage tax and how to file online,” said Goehring. “Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions about taxes that apply to specific businesses.”
