Kent School District high schools have united to sponsor K-Day: Leave Your Legacy, an event open to the community on Monday.
The program runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at French Field, 10020 SE 256th St. In case of inclement weather, the program moves inside to the Kent-Meridian gymnasium.
Mike Smith, a youth advocate and founder of the Skate for Change and The Bay, is the keynote speaker.
Jeff Jaeger, former University of Washington and NFL kicker, is among the guest speakers.
Admission is one pair of new socks or $1. Proceeds benefit Mike Smith’s charity Skate for Change organization.
Smith was a guest speaker in October when the schools kicked off a year of anti-bullying awareness.
