Kent Area PTA Council hosts candidates forum tonight

The Kent Area PTA Council presents a state legislative candidates forum for those competing in the 11th, 33rd and 47th districts at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at the Kent School District administration building, 12033 SE 256th St.

The forum is open to the public.

Candidates and guests will follow a “speed dating” format in which each candidate will have their own table. Guests will choose a candidate to talk with, then, when the bell rings, switch to a new table to meet and talk to another candidate.

Six 10-minute sessions are planned.

All incumbents and challengers in senate and representative races from each local district have been invited.

The all-mail-in-ballot general election is Nov. 4.

Kent School District high school students will serve as greeters, hosts, timekeepers and assistants during the event.
