Cadets from Green River Composite Squadron and McChord Composite Squadron ran the coat check and silent auction for an autographed Seahawks helmet while members of the service academies had a winter ball Saturday.

The All Service Academies Ball was thrown by the USAF Academy Parents Association this year, a duty that rotates among the academy parents each year. Cadets were responsible for running the coat check, keeping snacks on tables, as well as collecting bids for the silent auction.

Since the ball was at the Hyatt in Bellevue, and that is where the Seahawks stay before a game, random Seahawks kept stopping by, much to the delight of the cadets. A few of them even signed the auction helmet, when an energetic young cadet asked them to add their names.
