The Fred Meyer Teddy Bear Toss Game presented by WARM 106.9 is Saturday, Jan. 24, when the Seattle Thunderbirds take on the Portland Winterhawks in a Western Hockey League game at 7:05 p.m at the ShoWare Center.

After the T-Birds first goal of the game fans should throw bears and stuffed animals on to the ice. The bears are collected by the radio station’s Teddy Bear Patrol, which will later distribute the bears to local police and fire departments who give them to children in times of emergency and crisis.

Fans are encouraged to bring as many bears and stuffed animals as possible to the game against the Winterhawks. A limited number of bears will also be available for purchase at the game. Fred Meyer is donating bears to Children’s Hospital who will be selling them at the game for $5. All proceeds raised from the sale of bears goes directly to Children’s Hospital.
