State Senate to recognize city of Kent’s 125th anniversary

A resolution honoring the city of Kent’s 125th anniversary will be read on the Senate Floor at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20 in Olympia.

Sens. Karen Keiser, D-Kent, Joe Fain, R-Auburn and Bob Hasegawa, D-Seattle, whose districts each include parts of Kent, are sponsoring the recognition.

Kent incorporated on May 28, 1890 with a population of 793 and now has more than 124,000 residents.
