Kent man suffers stabbing injuries during attack at his East Hill home

A 64-year-old Kent man suffered life-threatening injuries after being stabbed multiple times early Wednesday morning at his East Hill home in the 25600 block of 116th Avenue Southeast.

Kent Police responded at about 5:35 a.m. to Multicare Auburn Medical Center’s emergency room for a report of a Kent resident who arrived to the hospital reporting that he was attacked in his home, according to a police media release.

Early reports indicate that the man was home alone whereupon two subjects came to his front door advising that their vehicle was broken down in the area. Upon allowing the subjects into the residence, the victim was attacked and stabbed with a knife multiple times. The victim sustained life threatening injuries as a result of the incident. Police said they had no additional information about his condition.

Preliminary reports indicate that the man may have known at least one of the assailants. The suspect(s) are still at large and the motive at this time is unclear. Investigators are still interviewing potential witnesses and following up on leads.
