Strong winds of at least 40 mph with gusts of up to 58 mph could strike the Kent and Puget Sound area on Tuesday.
The strongest winds are expected from mid-morning to mid-afternoon on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a high wind watch. The affected locations include Bremerton, Shelton, Seattle and Everett.
Winds are expected from south or southwest 25 to 40 mph with gusts near 60 mph. High winds can down trees, damage property and cause power outages.
A high wind watch means there is potential for a damaging wind event.
