Kent plans to close 124th Avenue SE because of flooding

Kent city crews plan to close 124th Avenue Southeast between Kent Kangley Road and Southeast 270th Street at about 4 p.m. Thursday because of water over the roadway.

Crews determined it is unsafe for vehicles to drive through the standing water, according to city officials. Crews plan to close the road after the nearby Millennium Elementary School closes Thursday afternoon.
