Kent to close 148th Avenue SE because of water over the roadway

The city of Kent plans to close 148th Avenue Southeast between Southeast 256th Street and 146th Avenue Southeast at 1:30 p.m. on Monday because of water over the roadway the the deterioration of the street.

City staff sent out a notice about the closure on Monday morning. The duration of the closure remains to be determined. The street often floods after heavy rains and runoff.
