Man dies after jumping onto car along I-5 in Kent

A 24-year-old man died on Interstate 5 in Kent early Sunday morning after he reportedly ran from the right shoulder and jumped onto a car traveling southbound just north of State Route 516.
Alfred Olter died from blunt injuries to the head and body, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. Olter died at the scene, according to a State Patrol accident report released on Monday.
A Honda Civic, driven by a 35-year-old Seattle man, was in lane two at about 3:34 a.m. on Sunday when it collided with the man, who ended up in the right side ditch. The driver, who was not injured, pulled over to the right shoulder. The accident blocked the freeway for two hours.
