The Meridian Valley Country Club members’ Spring Cleaning with Meaning two-day drive collected 120 33-gallon bags and 15 boxes of clothing and household goods for the KentHOPE Women and Children’s Day Center last weekend, March 19-20.

In addition, two chairs and a lamp were donated to furnish a KentHOPE guest’s new home.

“This was an amazing collection of goods to help support KentHOPE Women and Children’s Day Center, and we were very pleased with the outcome,” said organizer Vanessa Lindbeck. “We expect to see continued donations going forward as many have inquired about future donations to support KentHOPE.”

Lindbeck and Katie Haley initiated the clothing drive to meet the immediate needs in the community and bring more awareness to the center. Other volunteers included Susan Hollingsworth, George Adams, Sandra Collier, Susan Church, Susan Ammon and Sarah Davidson.
