Kent School District’s Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates Japanese culture

The Kent School District hosted its the 19th annual Cherry Blossom Festival at the Kentwood High School Performing Arts Center last Friday.

The festival, a longstanding tradition, celebrates the region’s connection to Japanese culture and provides an opportunity to celebrate the annual visit by Japanese exchange students who stay with high school students in the district.

The event included judo clubs, Japanese cuisine and activities.
