Downtown Kent streets to close Saturday for Khalsa Day Parade

Several downtown Kent streets will temporarily close between 2 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, for the Khalsa Day Parade, hosted by the local Sikh community.

Kent Police will provide rolling closures on James Street, Lincoln Avenue, Meeker Street, Smith Street and Fourth Avenue. Drivers are asked to follow the posted detours.

The Sikh Heritage Celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.
