Tree falls into truck during Kent windstorm

Despite a tree falling on and entering a pickup, nobody was injured as the wind blew down the tree Wednesday evening along Southeast 236th Place just off of 104th Avenue Southeast, according to Kent Police.
The wind also knocked down a power pole near the intersection of Central Avenue South and Willis Street, causing the street to be closed for part of the evening as well as lane closures on Thursday.
