Kent mayor sets State of the City address for April 26

Kent Mayor Dana Ralph will give her first State of the City address on Thursday, April 26, in the Kent City Council Chambers, 220 Fourth Ave. S.

The event will start with a reception at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall lobby, followed by the address at 7 p.m. Ralph expects to speak for about an hour.

Ralph, elected by voters in November, replaced Suzette Cooke who served 12 years in office but decided not to run for a fourth term. Cooke held most of her most recent State of the City addresses at the city-owned accesso ShoWare Center during a Kent Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon.
