Kent to recognize Budell as she leaves City Council

Residents are invited to recognize Kent City Councilmember Tina Budell at an informal ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S.

Budell announced her resignation last week to take a new job in Chicago. The ceremony will run from 6 to 7 p.m., prior to the regular council meeting at 7 p.m., which will not include Budell, whose last day as a council member is Friday, April 13. Budell joined the council in January 2016.

The council is taking applications for Budell’s replacement throug April 20.
