Students to be recognized at Kent’s Community Scholarship Awards Ceremony

Thirty-nine Kent School District students will receive scholarships totaling more than $50,000 at the Community Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

The event, which is open to the public, is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center, 10020 SE 256th St.

The event is hosted by Kent Area PTSA, Rotary Club of Kent, Kent Sunrise Rotary, Denali Federal Credit Union and Kent Community Foundation. Students will receive college and career scholarships.

Kent Mayor Dana Ralph will open the ceremony. A reception with light refreshments will follow the award presentation in the cafeteria.
