Washington Masters Dragon Boat women’s crew places high in World races at Hungary

The Washington Masters (WAM) Dragon Boat women’s Senior C crew (60 and older) finished second in the 500-meter race and third in the 200 at the July 17-22 Club Crew World Championships in Szeged, Hungary.

Three members of the crew are from Kent.

“A super accomplishment,” said Kent’s Chris Salzer, a dragon boat paddler for 11 years.

Two other WAM boats – the Senior A (ages 40 and older) mixed crew and a Senior A open crew (any gender) – competed at Hungary.
