Curb lanes to close on Kent’s West Valley Highway for bus stop upgrades

King County Metro will be alternating curb lane closures on West Valley Highway (aka 68th Avenue South) between South 190th St and West James Street to upgrade and service the 150 bus stops along their route.

The closures are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from April 24 to approximately May 15, according to a city of Kent traffic alert.

The right turn lane at the James Street bus stop east of West Valley Highway will be closed April 25 through May 1.

Traffic control will be in place.
