Top students in the Kent School District were honored at the Community Scholarship and Scholar Celebration at Green River College on Tuesday, May 14.

More than two dozen scholarships were awarded and the top 5 percent of graduating seniors from the seven high schools and academies in the school district were recognized.

Approximately 300 people attended the event at the Lindbloom Student Union.

The celebration was a collaborative effort by the Kent Community Foundation; the Rotary Club of Kent; Kent Rotary Sunrise; Kent Chamber of Commerce; Covington Chamber of Commerce; Denali Credit Union; the Seattle Thunderbirds; and the Kent Area Council PTSA.
