A natural gas leak in Kent caused the temporary evacuation of three buildings Tuesday morning in the 18500 block of 80th Court South.

Puget Sound Energy crews responded and stopped the leak, according to Puget Sound Fire. Firefighters conducted air monitoring in the surrounding buildings.

Puget Sound Fire and Renton Regional Fire Authority responded at about 9:40 a.m. to the report of a natural gas leak and as a precaution evacuated three buildings in the area. Firefighters set up a hazard area. The area was shut down for about 90 minutes, according to Renton Regional Fire Authority.
