State Patrol seeks witnesses to shooting along SR 167 in Kent

Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking information about a shooting at a van Tuesday, Nov. 1 along southbound State Route 167 in the area of South 212th Street in Kent.

A driver called 911 to report that his vehicle was shot at, according to a Nov. 2 State Patrol press release. He said he was traveling southbound when he heard three gunshots. He believes the suspect vehicle was a dark blue, older Nissan Sentra with at least three occupants.

Once the driver was off the freeway, he found two bullet holes in the back doors of his van, according to the State Patrol. He was not injured.

Detectives are requesting anyone with information about the events leading up to the shooting or witnesses of the shooting to contact Detective Todd Early at Todd.Early@wsp.wa.gov.
