Offices close for MLK Day

Federal, state, King County and Kent city offices will be closed Monday to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Metro Transit will have a reduced bus schedule, with a few routes canceled. Information: www.metrotransit.org.

Sound Transit will reduce its regular weekday schedule from eight trains to four trains between Tacoma and Seattle. Information: www.soundtransit.org.

Waste Management will provide regular garbage-collection service.

The closures include:

• King County libraries and courts.

• Post offices, with no home delivery.

• State-owned liquor stores.

• Most banks and credit unions.

• School districts.
