Swine flu: County has 19 confirmed cases; waiting on results for Kent boy

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed 19 cases of the swine flu in King County, as of Wednesday, including an 8-year-old Des Moines boy.
Federal health officials have yet to confirm the probable swine-flu cases of a 15-year-old Kent boy and a 9-year-old Des Moines girl.
There are 46 probable cases and 23 confirmed cases in the state, according to the state Department of Health.
None of the 27 probable cases or 19 confirmed cases in King County involved hospitalization, according to Seattle and King County Public Health.
Two schools in Des Moines, Woodmont K-8 in the Federal Way School District, and Midway Elementary in the Highline School District, reopened on Tuesday. Each had closed for one or two days after a student at each school tested positive for a suspected case of swine flu.
As of Wednesday, there were no other reports of probable cases in Kent or Des Moines.
On Sunday, King County Public Health stopped recommending school closures because the virus has quickly become more widespread, but its symptoms are relatively mild. No Kent schools were closed.
