Order Papa John’s and help reduce homelessness in Kent

All profits from the sales at the Lake Meridian and Meeker Street Papa John’s locations on Sept. 10 will be donated to KentHOPE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing homelessness in the community.

The KentHOPE Women and Children’s Day Center has helped 182 women and children move out of homelessness since it opened 19 months ago. The center meets the immediate needs of an average of 25 to 30 women and children each day, offering three substantial meals a day, showers, laundry facilities, clothing, computers with Internet access, health care, life skills classes, advocacy and hope.

KentHOPE also works with partners in the community to find jobs and housing for their guests. The organization depends on volunteers to make it a successful effort.

Papa John’s, which donates pizzas to the day center once a month, is facilitating the fundraising event in an effort to contribute to KentHOPE on a larger scale.
