KBAC sets planning meeting for Juneteenth celebration

The Kent Black Action Commission invites all who are interested in becoming a part of this year’s Juneteenth celebration to attend a planning meeting on Saturday, March 26, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave.

Organizers intend to make this year’s fifth annual KBAC Juneteenth Celebration & Festival their best yet. The celebration is scheduled for June 18-19 at Morrill Meadows Park.

KBAC is looking for help on the following committees: food, entertainment and program, vendors, event security and logistics (setup and breakdown)

Organizers welcome volunteers who live, work or attend school in Kent or the South King County region to join them

New members are welcome.
