Local nonprofit hosts Young Author’s Day

The Pacific Northwest Writers’ Association (PNWA) hosts the Young Author’s Day on July 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at the SeaTac Hilton Hotel and Conference Center.
The free event is for kids, ages 8 to 12.
A variety of sessions will be offered on how to bring a story to life, all taught by local authors and illustrators.
The event includes story times with books read by the authors.
In addition, PNWA will show popular kids movies that were originally hit books (“Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief” and “The Wizard of Oz”).
