Small land mass breaks away at Kent’s Clark Lake

A small land mass broke away from the south side of Clark Lake in Kent and moved north toward the dock, according to city officials.

City crews are monitoring the incident, caused by heavy rain, and might barricade the dock to be sure children stay away from the area.

Clark Lake is on the East Hill and part of Clark Lake Park, south of Southeast 240th Street and east of 120th Avenue Southeast.
