Kent’s ShoWare Center to host more than 500 University of Phoenix graduates June 29

More than 500 graduates from the University of Phoenix Western Washington campus will attend a commencement ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

The school will award degrees in business and management; criminal justice and security; education; and nursing and health care.

Student speaker and native Washingtonian, Kristin Ferrell, who will earn her bachelor’s degree in business management, will address her fellow graduates. Ferrell balanced multiple priorities, including care of an ailing family member, while attending University of Phoenix. With a goal to continue to improve the quality of life for her family, Ferrell looks forward to continuing her education and pursuing her master of business administration with a focus in health care administration.
