Expect nighttime travel delays on Central Avenue in Kent

Kent drivers should expect travel time delays in the area of Central Avenue South and Willis Street on Wednesday night and Thursday night, March 9-10, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., due to a water main connection and asphalt paving.

A detour will be in place for eastbound travel on Willis Street wanting to turn right onto Central Avenue and a detour for northbound travel on Central Avenue wanting to turn left onto Willis Street.

Kent Police will be on site to control the vehicle movements through the intersection.
