Kent apartment rents jump 6.8 percent compared to 2016

Apartment rents in Kent jumped 6.8 percent in 2017 compared to 2016.
A median two-bedroom unit in Kent rents for $1,740 per month, up 6.8 percent from 2016, according to Apartment List, a San Francisco-based company. In comparison, the national median two-bedroom rent is $1,160, up 2.7 percent from last year. The median one-bedroom rate in Kent is $1,400, which means about half the rents are higher than that price and half are lower.
