Kent Senior Center hosts Wellness Fair on Sept. 19

Kent 50 Plus and FD Cares present the 9th annual Wellness Fair on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Kent Senior Center, 600 E. Smith St.

The free event includes information booths, featuring housing, finances and social services; flu shots at no charge, compliments of GoldenCare, and Valley Medical Center; and health screenings, including blood pressure and glucose checks. Attendees also can observe exercise classes and take in workshops.

Boxed lunches are available for $1 beginning at 8:30 a.m. while supplies last. Free door prizes will be given away while lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.
