KentHOPE Gala raises $190,000 to fight homelessness, addiction

The seventh annual KentHOPE for Tomorrow Gala raised $190,000 to help the nonprofit’s efforts to end the cycle of homelessness and addiction for local women and their families.

The Nov. 2 dinner, dessert, celebrity dance and auction drew 360 people to the Renton Pavilion.

Proceeds generously support the daily operations of the KentHOPE Women and Children’s Day Center.

KentHOPE guest Sandra Kincade shared her story about regaining her self-esteem and her ability to give back to others in the three months she had been at the day center. Kincade had found permanent housing the day before the gala.

KentHOPE is a partnership of faith-based groups, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, businesses, local community service agencies and concerned individuals who are dedicated to reducing homelessness in the community.
