Drive By Donation set at Kent Station May 9

A Drive By Donation is set for Saturday, May 9 at Kent Station to gather items and money for nonprofit groups supported by the Kent Community Foundation.

The drive is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Here’s how it works:

* Please put donations in your car trunk (envelopes with cash or checks written to Kent Community Foundation also accepted)

* Pull up in a parking spot in front of Johnny Rockets at Kent Station, 418 Ramsay Way

* Pop your trunk and volunteers will unload your donations

​If you can’t make it to the drive-by donation event, donations are always being collected at Johnny Rockets online at Kent Community Foundation.

​Among the groups supported and items needed are:

Kent Food Bank

Large gloves, paper grocery bags, cleaning supplies for shelves, tables, floors, etc.

World Relief/Hillside Church

Feminine hygiene pads (ultra thin preferred), laundry detergent (pods can be re-packed more easily than powder, toilet paper, Diapers size 4, 5 and 6, paper grocery bags, sweet potatoes, bread, pasta, rice, lentils, canned veggies, apples, oranges.

​Living Well Kent

Diapers of all sizes, fruit, vegetables, pasta, rice, dry foods (beans, lentils, potatoes, onions.

​Communities in Schools of Kent

Gift cards, food and supplies, financial donations.

Kent Youth & Family Services

Grocery & gas gift cards, nonperishable food, gloves, hand sanitizer.
