Kent Police seek public’s help to find missing autistic woman

Kent Police are asking for the public’s assistance to locate a missing autistic woman who needs her medicine and was last seen about 7 p.m. on Monday, May 31 in the area of Riverwood Apartments in the 24600 block of Russell Road South.

NiAni Rashaad is Black, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds, has brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a brown-striped sweater, black tank top, camouflage shorts and was wearing a short curly wig, according to a June 1 police statement. She has naturally short brown hair. She also had on a holographic fanny pack.

Police reported late Wednesday afternoon that detectives have been canvassing for video and witnesses since Tuesday evening while bicycle officers continue their search along trails and neighborhoods. Puget Sound Fire also deployed its rescue boat Wednesday in the Green River.

Her info has been entered into state and national databases listing her as missing.
