Kent Valley Hockey Association hosts clothing drive to raise money

Kent Valley Hockey Association partners with Clothes for the Cause, a fundraising company that collects clothes in exchange for cash, for an event to raise money for team expenses such as travel, uniforms and general expenses.

The team of 13 and 14 year olds is raising money to offset the cost of practicing and competing with other teams throughout the region. The team travels extensively for games.

Clothes for the Cause makes it easy for everyone in our community to contribute by not asking for money or for someone to buy something. Instead they partner with fundraising groups to collect items that our friends, family and neighbors already have in their houses such as clothes, shoes, purses, belts and household linens.

You can drop off your donations to this clothing drive at: The Kent Valley Ice Centre, at 6015 S 240th St. They will be collecting donations between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 6.
